Our teams had the pleasure to discuss with Antoine EliasHead of Sales at Beanstock.
After a passage in Challengesamong the 100 most promising investment nuggets, the marketplace is well on its way to confirming its mission. Making rental investment accessible, simple and enjoyable.
Hi Antoine! What attracted you to Beanstock?
Hello Olivier! I joined Beanstock because I wanted to be part of an ambitious and brilliant team that brings real added value to its sector. What really attracted me was the strong entrepreneurial spirit of the company, which offers a lot of responsibility and autonomy quickly to the people who join us.
What kind of profiles are you looking for?
To join us, you must be curious, passionate and have good listening skills. We offer a dense training program and a wide variety of jobs, ranging from sales, brokerage, interior design, project management, to more operational and technological jobs. All these fields are interconnected thanks to our business model, which offers many opportunities for learning and development in a fast-growing industry.
What characterizes your corporate culture?
The company culture at Beanstock is truly unique. It is reflected in the energy that emanates from the premises and influences the behavior and decisions of the employees. We have a very strong entrepreneurial culture that encourages initiative and risk-taking.
We encourage our "Beans", as we affectionately call our employees, to come up with new processes, change the way we work and sign big contracts. We give them important responsibilities and encourage them to constantly innovate. We also value adaptability, as we expect our employees to be flexible in the face of market changes and the vagaries of a company with 70 employees.
What is your "special touch" to offer a different candidate experience?
At Beanstock, we take pride in providing a unique and personalized candidate experience. Throughout the recruitment process, we provide each candidate with individualized support.
Beyond our Talent Acquisition Manager, candidates will have the opportunity to meet with various team members, including managers and potential colleagues, to give them a glimpse into the internal life.
Meetings may include case studies or scenarios to help candidates understand the issues and skills required for the position. Our goal is to ensure that each candidate feels comfortable and well prepared throughout the process!
On the sales side, what jobs are you recruiting at the moment?
We currently have two open positions in sales. We operate both in B2B and B2C. Thus, we are looking for a B2C representative for the "sales investors" part and an Account Manager for the B2B part.
For the B2C position, we are looking for relatively experienced people with at least three years of sales experience. The idea is to find candidates who can walk investors through their project, whether they have real estate or investment experience or not. We are looking for people who are talented salespeople, motivated, curious and willing to learn.
For the B2B position, we are looking for account managers who will be in contact with real estate professionals to detect the best investment opportunities in France, the "top 2%".

As head of sales, how do you see the job market for sales people?
The market for salespeople is quite unique, as it is divided into two parts. On the one hand, there is a high demand for experienced and talented salespeople, while on the other hand, there are less experienced salespeople who need training and for whom the market is less tight.
That's why we created The Bean School, our own sales school, to train our employees in both corporate culture, real estate investing and sales. We have an intensive three-week induction process to train our employees and make them competent and comfortable in their jobs. As a result, we are confident in our ability to train talented and motivated candidates, even if they have no prior real estate or sales experience.
We can feel that you are passionate about your job and your company! Would you like to add anything else?
There is one point I would like to address that is quite specific to Beanstock. It is our "1 year, 1 apartment" program. This program is for all new employees who join our company. It is unique and we have not found it in any other company.
What does this program consist of?
The principle is very simple. When you join Beanstock, you will be trained in rental investment in our sales school. This training allows you to learn all the keys of real estate investment and to increase your skills on all subjects related to real estate. At the same time, you will gain an area of expertise related to your business, as part of your training program.
At the end of this training, in 90% of the cases, our employees realize their first real estate investment after one year at Beanstock. This is a real opportunity for our employees to learn and build up a real estate portfolio.
So why should we NOT join you?
If you are looking for job stability, with repetitive schedules and tasks, Beanstock may not be the company for you. Our talent must be willing to adapt to many changes, even within their own position. For example, goals, tools and work processes can change in just a few months, which can affect their compensation.
The company closely follows the innovations of its technical and product teams, which frequently changes positions and work methods. Beanstock hires people who enjoy change and innovation and can adapt quickly. If you need stability and routine, you may not feel comfortable with us.
However, if you are adaptable and enjoy working with confidence and autonomy, you may well have fun 😉
Thank you, Antoine !
