Hi Jennifer, could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role at Sidetrade?

Hello Skeelz! I'm Jennifer Jennifer BosChief People Officer at Sidetrade for the past year. My role is to manage the group's HR function, with the aim of supporting our employees in their development, fulfillment and commitment. Sidetrade is a fast-growing software company with over twenty years' experience, recognized worldwide as a leader in Order-to-Cash by Gartner, the prestigious American analyst. Today, we have 300 Sidetraders, divided between our head office in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, and offices in Ireland, England, the USA and Canada. This geographical diversity creates a dynamic and innovative multicultural environment.

If you had to sum up your corporate culture in three words?

In just three words? Um, well, I'd say: innovation, diversity and customer culture

Innovation is part of our DNA, our history and our vision. A pioneer in its market, Sidetrade was the first in its sector to use the Cloud, to offer process automation, to create AI and to use big data to build a Data Lake. On a day-to-day basis, we foster a working environment that stimulates creativity. A case in point is our latest hackathon in Faro, Portugal, where over three days, 84 employees from the Product and R&D teams collaborated on 12 innovative projects, six of which were selected for funding by the company.

Diversity - With offices in Europe and North America, English is our working language, and we are proud of the cultural diversity offered by our 22 nationalities. We promote the integration of women, which is reflected in our 33% female representation, a ratio above the Tech average and one on which we continue to make progress. It's also worth noting that, overall, our women are paid 1% more than our men. What's more, we've just set up a partnership with the Epitech engineering school aimed at increasing the number of women in the tech world. We are proud to have forged our corporate culture on excellence, mutual listening and team spirit . Customer first - Our customers are our priority, and we dedicate a dedicated team to evaluating their usage with them and considering their feedback. How do you attract candidates?

What is your onboarding process?

When you join us, you won't be let down or treated like a number. Far from the clichés of the tech industry, here you're accompanied, guided and trained by your manager, the HR team and your mentor, throughout your integration and career development. Your integration is closely monitored every 30, 60 and 90 days by your manager and HR Manager.

In concrete terms, here's how the onboarding process works:

  • Even before you arrive, our human resources department will send you an integration kit, and your future manager will coordinate with you to prepare your first day in the best possible way.
  • As soon as you arrive, our HR team will give you a warm welcome and your manager will introduce you to your new working environment and your new colleagues, including a word of welcome via our internal social network, B-Side.
  • Then, you take part in the "Onboarding Bootcamp" with other new employees, often from different countries. This allows you to familiarize yourself with Sidetrade's organization, tools and HR processes.

Which professions are you recruiting for?

With strong sales growth, expansion in Europe and the United States , and a new American acquisition, we're stepping up our recruitment drive in all our businesses and all our geographical areas!

To meet these new challenges, we need a number of talented profiles to fill positions with titles that are often in English, due to our international presence. These opportunities are available in France, the UK and the USA. 

On the IT side, we're looking for DevOps Engineer, IT/System Administrator, QA Automation Engineer, Senior Software Engineer and Systems Engineer.DevOps Engineer.

On the business side, we need Regional Sales Managers, Project Managers or Customer Success Managers.

A ritual to share to develop team commitment?

We have set up a number of recurring initiatives and activities to promote the well-being of our employees and create a friendly atmosphere.

  • The"Fireside Chat" and the"Sidetrade Got Talent " are in-house conferences that showcase our talents and projects. 
  • Sports sessions, with the famous plank challenge launched by sales staff in Boulogne-Billancourt. Imagine fifteen or so Sidetraders with their elbows on the ground! 
  • Board games or gaming with pizza on the menu ...

These convivial moments are complemented by our annual events: 

  • Sports and wellness days open to all, organized by the Sidetrade Sport Organisation (my favorite part is the wellness day, where you can enjoy massages, yoga sessions and even taste incredible cocktails (alcohol-free, of course!).
  • In addition to SideHack in Portugal, this year we held our annual Sales Kick Off in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. 

All these initiatives contribute to creating a dynamic, warm and stimulating atmosphere in which our teams can flourish and give the best of themselves.

Why NOT come to us?
