Hi Sophie! Can you tell us about Welmo?
Hi Olivier ! Welmois an online real estate agency, whose objective is to help owners reduce their agency fees and maximize their profits. We rely on a combination of in-house technology and a network of independents.
We have two main customers: the owners and the real estate agents. And yes, the agents are just as important as our end customers, because they are the strength of our network. We do everything we can to help them succeed in their business. We offer services to make their lives easier and enable them to be efficient in their work.
We are also putting in place tools and resources to generate more business on our website and to help homeowners quickly find reliable buyers to complete their sales project.
What can we expect from joining you?
The first thing that comes to mind is the strong family spirit that emanates from the company!
Everyone is involved, and contributes to the growth of Welmo. So we don't have silos or isolated departments, but rather a multi-disciplinary team that really works together.
Our model is quite innovative, with an ambitious goal: to disrupt the real estate market. Welmo has taken the gamble of developing a matching algorithm that connects the right real estate experts with the right homeowners for a quick and successful sale. Our team members work cross-functionally on projects that go beyond their daily missions, which allows us to build, scale, and iterate continuously.

What does a "Made in Welmo" recruitment process look like?
The process is well-oiled. First, we have an initial discussion to make sure the candidate understands the position and is a good fit for what we are looking for.
After this exchange, candidates meet directly with a real estate coach, who will be their future coach, for a video or in-person interview. We try to ensure that the meetings are geographically close to each other in order to create team synergies.
If the coach is satisfied, the candidates have a final meeting with the recruitment department of the company for the administrative part. This includes the creation of the company and the launch of the activity.
What about onboarding?
In fact, we have two distinct integration paths for agents and employees.
As for the agents, once they have signed their contract, they are welcomed at the "Welmo Academy". This is a training course lasting about ten days, which teaches them the tricks of the real estate trade. Workshops are held on a variety of topics such as prospecting, negotiation, mandate acquisition, and more.
We also offer many practical exercises to help them grasp these concepts. At the end of the training, the representatives are integrated into their team and benefit from daily support from their coach during the first weeks and even the first months, depending on the specific needs of each new recruit.
The onboarding process for employees is different as they do not go through the Welmo Academy. Nevertheless, they receive an introductory video beforehand. On the day they arrive, they are offered a welcome breakfast. They then spend their first day attending workshops dedicated to discovering the different departments of the company. Our objective is to ensure that each person understands the global functioning of the company.
Interesting! And how do you manage to differentiate yourself from other networks of agents?
We have a particularity compared to all the other networks: thanks to the tools we have developed internally, the agents do not need to travel to sell properties. This means that they can work remotely and sell properties anywhere in France, which is an undeniable asset, especially since the pandemic. We have thus been able to open up the profession to people who could not travel physically and to those who wish to be independent and choose their own hours.
A final word?
All I can tell you is that we are working on some exciting new projects, and we can't wait to share them with everyone as soon as possible!
Thank you, Sophie 😉
