Hi Bertrand ! Can you introduce yourself for our readers ?

Of course, my name is Bertrand and I am currently the Head of Sales at Nextories. I have more than 10 years of experience in this field, having previously held similar positions at Ornikar, Panorabanques a bank comparator, and at Meilleurs Agents. I've always worked in the startup world and I love this dynamic environment!

At Nextories, I manage the entire customer relationship, which includes account managers, customer pre-qualification, inbound call management, SQLs (Sales Qualified Leads) and sales consultants who sell the Nextories solution. I am also responsible for the teams that deal with post-sales, such as sales administration (ADV) and coordination.

Why did you choose Nextories?

I chose Nextories mainly for two reasons. 

First of all, I was attracted by the idea of working in a human-sized company. Unlike some of my previous experiences where there were hundreds of employees, Nextories now has 51 Nextorians. I found it nice to be back in a smaller structure.

Second, Nextories has very ambitious growth goals. The company was founded 10 years ago, and the current goal is to take the next step and generate significant growth. My role is to contribute to this expansion by industrializing the existing business model and improving and scaling up the processes in place.

Finally, I was convinced by the meetings I had within the company, especially with Julien, the CEO, with whom I had a lot of exchanges. We share the same vision and the same strategy for the company, which reinforced my choice!

Precisely, what is the vision of Nextories?

Accompanying and facilitating the moving process for our customers!

We are aware that moving is a very important and sometimes stressful event for many people, and we want to help them go through this stage with peace of mind. To achieve this, we act as a trusted third party between customers and movers.

We use technology, such as video to conduct remote inventories, to determine the volume of goods to be moved and to search for the best movers at the best price for our clients. We manage the relationship with the movers throughout the process to ensure a smooth experience.

Our goal is to achieve near-perfect customer satisfaction, as evidenced by our rating of 4.9 on TrustPilot. We are inspired by successful experiences in other fields, such as real estate, where you can now visit a property remotely and be 100% satisfied with the experience when you move in.

Our ambition is to go even further by offering an incomparable customer experience and by being a key player in the moving industry.

What do you mean by "unparalleled customer experience"?

At Nextories, we enhance the customer experience in several ways:

  1. Time saving: Our appointments are done via video conference rather than physically, which makes it easier for clients to organize. We have a large number of consultants and flexible hours, so we can arrange appointments Monday through Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., depending on the availability of customers.
  2. Reactivity: Thanks to videoconferencing, we are able to be more reactive and organize appointments quickly, unlike other movers who have to physically move.
  3. Technical expertise: Our consultants have extensive training in moving and are able to accurately assess each client's needs during the video conference visit. For example, they can determine whether or not a parking permit is required.
  4. Competitive bidding: Unlike those who go directly to a mover, at Nextories we put several movers in competition to get the best price. Each mover knows they are competing with other movers and must offer competitive rates to be selected. This allows our customers to get the best deals possible.

What does a "Made in Nextories" recruitment process look like?

At Nextories, we make it a point to be prompt in the recruitment process. In general, the process is as follows:

  1. Receipt of CV: We review the CVs received and select potential candidates.
  2. Screening interview: Selected candidates are contacted promptly, usually within a few days of receiving the CV.
  3. Interview with the Hiring Manager: Candidates are then interviewed by the Hiring Manager within a week.
  4. Decision-making: The decision to hire is usually made at the end of the week.

On average, this takes 7 to 10 days. We also work efficiently in asynchronous mode, especially for administrative tasks, using tools such as Welcome to the Jungle. This allows us to move faster and remain responsive in our internal processes.

And you, which profiles are you looking for in your team?

At Nextories, we are currently recruiting for several positions, including account managers and sales consultants.

  1. Trainee account manager: For this position, we are looking for someone with a good learning capacity and a desire to discover the job of account manager. The skills required are good oral expression, excellent listening skills and the ability to manage time.
  2. Account Executive: For this profile, we are looking for individuals who can handle inbound calls and call back customers who have submitted a move request on our site. Skills required include good verbal skills, excellent listening skills and the ability to qualify a lead.
  3. Sales consultant: For this position, we are looking for someone with sales experience, ideally in BtoC and in sedentary sales. The person must be motivated by sales challenges and have a desire to reach variable objectives. They must also be highly organized to manage customers and partners, and be comfortable with telephone sales.

While the hard and soft skills required vary by position, we value candidates with good communication skills, listening and organizational skills, and the motivation to take on challenges.
